Introduction
Once you have established a data link to your survey platform, you can use the Link Data Wizard in codeit to connect to a survey in that survey platform.
The Link Data Wizard will lead you through a series of five simple steps which, when completed, will make your survey available for coding directly within codeit.
How to Access the Link Data Wizard
The Link Data Wizard can be accessed by clicking the "Link Data" button available in the main ribbon of the Project Dashboard page.
Link data Wizard - Steps
There are five steps you need to complete in the link data wizard as follows:
| Step | Description |
| Select Project | Choose whether you want to setup a project for the first time, or edit the setup for an existing project. |
| Select Data Link | Choose which survey system you want to connect to |
| Source Survey | Choose which survey (in your survey platform) you want to connect to. |
| Select Variables | Choose which verbatim variables you want to import, and specify target variables, wave variables and language settings as required |
| Tasks | Define and configure the Tasks to be created |
| Custom Settings | Specify any settings specific to the target survey platform |
| Summary | Review and confirm |
