What is Manual Coding?

Manual Coding is a mode of codeit coding that displays multiple items for coding on screen in a list, with the full verbatim easy to display and read.  Manual Coding is designed to allow focus on longer verbatim answers that usually have multiple phrases within each record to be coded separately, as compared to Brand Coding which is designed for short text answers.

When to use Manual Coding

Manual coding should be used when the verbatim is in longer sentences, rather than single word or phrase answers more suited to Brand Coding. The interface is optimised to enable focus on each verbatim with the codeframe shown alongside.
