Introduction
The Codes section of the Edit Variable page allows you to edit the coding settings of a Closed End Variable.
Available Settings
The Variable settings available in the Codes section are as follows:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Enforce Max Codes | Indicates whether there should be a maximum number of codes allowed per response within this Variable. For an explanation of multicoded data see here. The default for this setting is "No" meaning that a single response can contain an unlimited number of codes. If set to "Yes", the coding screens (and AI) in codeit will limit the number of codes for a single response to the Maximum Codes Allow (see below). |
Maximum Codes Allowed | If Enforce Max Codes is set to "Yes" this setting will place a limit on the maximum number of codes that can be applied for a single response. The value for this setting must be a number between 1 and 32.768 |
