Introduction

In codeit, Tasks are one of the key concepts. A Task allows you to configure which variables you want to code, the codeframe, what type of question it is (brands, open-ended text, etc.) and the context variables.

We are streamlining codeit so you can configure Tasks directly from the Start Menu before you start coding rather than having to go to the Project Details page.

What has changed?

Configure Tasks

It is now possible to configure Tasks directly from the Start Menu. You will see a 'Configure' button next to the 'Select your task' menu under the Manual Coding, Quality Checking and Visualize options.

A more detailed explanation of the new Start Menu can be found in the documentation here.

"Short Text" is now "Brands"

We have also renamed the "Short Text" task type to "Brands". This is to clarify what a short text type is, especially given the changes made to our Brand Extraction module.
