Introduction

Before entering the Manual Coding or Brand Coding page, you have the option to filter the data that is loaded. This gives you the ability to work on a partial set of data rather than all of the verbatims for the selected Task and Wave.

Data Selection

The "Data Selection" tab offers the following two options:

OptionDescription
IncludeChoose whether to load coded and/or uncoded verbatims.
The default option is to load both coded and uncoded verbatims.
QuantityOffers three options to control how many verbatims are loaded:
  • All Verbatims - Loads all verbatims within the selected Task and Wave
  • A Percentage - Loads a specified percentage of the verbatims within the selected Task and Wave. Verbatims are selected at random using this method
  • A Fixed Amount - Loads a specified number of the verbatims within the selected Task and Wave. Verbatims are selected at random using this method

Locked Workloads

If enabled in the company settings you will see a "Locked Workloads" tab, which offers the following two options:

OptionDescription
Include Locked WorkloadsIf set to "Yes" this option will load verbatims into the coding page even if they are "Locked" (i.e. currently being worked on) by another user.
By default, these verbatims will be read-only meaning you can view them, and any codes applied, but you can't make changes to the coding.
Locked Workloads are EditableIf set to "Yes" this option will make any "Locked" verbatims editable by you. Using this method allows two or more coders to code the same verbatims concurrently. If coding changes are made by both coders then only the most recent saved changes will be preserved. This means that the actions of one coder will overwrite the coding of the other.

Advanced Filters

In addition to the options above, the page also offers the following three advanced options:

OptionDescription
Filter by TimeFilter workloads changed within a specified date range.
The date that is used for comparison is the last changed date of each Workload.
Initially, this is set to the date the Workload was created.
The last changed date will then be updated in response to the following events:
  • Codes are applied or removed (by users or AI)
  • Auto-translations are applied
  • Workloads are flagged or unflagged
  • QA Status changes
  • Notes added

Note: Depending on your settings, not all of these events will trigger an update of the last changed date. This behaviour is governed by the "Update Workload Changed Date On" company setting.

QA StatusLimit verbatims to just those having specified QA Status code(s) applied within the Quality Checking tool
Sub VariablesLimit verbatims to specified sub variables only
Note: This option is only displayed when the selected Task has a nested Source Variable
Flag TypesLimit verbatims to those flagged with specified flag types
