Introduction
The fifth step in the Link Data Wizard allows you to configure the Tasks you want to create from the variables you selected in the previous step. In addition to constructing Tasks, you can also adjust some of the settings applied to those Tasks.
Mapping Target Variables
The page will show a table containing a row for each of the source variables selected in step 4.
You are required to specify the pairings between source variables and target variables using the "Target Variable" dropdown.
You can make these selections one-by-one, or alternatively, use the "Automap" button to automatically decide the pairings by using the "Target Suffix" setting to determine your variable naming convention.
Task Settings
You can also adjust the following settings for each of the Tasks displayed:
Setting | Description |
Context Variables | Choose which variables (from those selected as context variables in the previous step) should used as context variables in a Task |
Task Type | Specifies the Type (i.e. Short Text, Text, Adverse Events) of each Task |
Max Codes | Limit the number of codes that can be applied to each verbatim in a Task. The default setting does not enforce a limit - i.e. there is no limit to the number of codes that can be applied to each verbatim |
